The Return of Clean
Burrowed against the infamous cement barrier that currently separates Israel and Palestine in Bethlehem rests the latest art installation from street artist Banksy. Titled the “Walled Off Hotel,” and promising the “worst view in the world,” the experiential art show is a fully functional hotel that will be open for reservations.
Christian’s work doubles down on the paradoxical relationship between childish cartoons and ominous messages. Using dense layers of graphite pencil to create graphic images of condoms, brick houses, and Mickey Mouse, his high contrast figures are rendered in slow motion and set against hazy landscapes and inside of melting, skewed spaces. Eduardo Kobra has been seriously engaged establishing his brand all over the world with his enormous rainbow-colored murals that catch the eye. His photorealistic murals are detailed representations of past eras. These historic images are from vintage photographs that conjure a sense of nostalgia for the viewer.

Milton Glaser is an American graphic designer, best known for the I ♥ NY logo, his Bob Dylan poster, the DC bullet logo used by DC Comics from 1977 to 2005, and the Brooklyn Brewery logo. He also founded New York Magazine with Clay Felker in 1968. Check out Milton’s work.
