It is hard to believe I actually met The King two years prior to his passing. For those who don’t know Jack Kirby is the creative Genuis behind the Fantastic Four, Incredible hulk, Dr Doom, Etrigan the Demon, The Black Panther, The New Gods etc…. His style of illustration defined comics for generations. blurring the line between pop art and sequential art used for story telling. Every panel leaped off the page with so much expression you can’t help but be mesmerized. As a youth I was definitely mesmerized and that inspired me to pick up a pencil and immolate and I haven’t stopped to this day. So thank you again Mr. Kirby for bringing some much-needed imagination to the world. (August 28, 1917-February 6, 1994)
