If you are fan of lyrical hip-hop then I do not have to explain who Ras Kass is, But for the new jacks do yourself a favor and google his name. Ras Kass and chino XL are the lyrical rappers who I have always championed but they normally get caught up in industry B.S., poor beat selection and sometimes their lyrics outweigh the overall song concept, which is the drawback of many super lyrical cats. Sometimes it works to epic level like Ras Kass’s “soul on ice” or “interview with a vampire featuring god and the devil”. With all that said I am glad to see him drop this new effort “Barmageddon”. If you want to here some high level lyricism over solid production look no further than “Barmageddon”. ENJOY!
