Elzhi was my favorite member of slum village when it came to the lyrics. Yes J Dilla holds court as the heart and soul of what I think the group is but Elzhi was the lyrics, Baatin was the character and T3 was more of a straight man for in my eyes. Elzhi is dropping a new album entitled “lead Poison” later this year. So he gave us this 14kt produced track to hold us over until the album. It is a somber banger with fire lyrics. Enjoy this jawn as we wait for the heat to come.
