Somethings moving in Bama indeed. Baron Amato is one half of the Dungeon Kingz collective and also part of the Nu Nation movement of impressive creative artists, which reaches from the top of the state to the bottom. Amaterasu is the first single off one of his new solo efforts and the lyrical display is dope to say the least. His lyrical style is a poetry meets southern hip hop sound that flows perfectly over the minimalist 808 driven track. The falsetto singing reminiscent of a spiritual ties everything together nicely. This single is a nice introduction now my ears are open to the full length. Got me thinking he may set the world on fire for real and we don’t need no water let that mother burn.
