As a fan of the hiphop and Jazz sound from what Guru was doing, to the sample selection of Tribe “wanted!” by Apollo Bebop is my kind of boombap. Apollo Bebop is a band from Santa Ana California that mixes a full band element like “The Roots” with a classic boom bap sound from vocalist/emcee Brian the earth. The sound is Bebop Jazz and Boombap which are born to be together in my opinion. I love Brian the earth’s slight baritone voice against these chill bouncy tracks. This is a great addition to spring and summertime outdoor play list. Enjoy!
