Man, I listened to this Billy Woods album for the entirety of my hiatus and it continues as a mainstay in my morning regiments. Woods is a lyrically dense emcee whose flow owes as much to the delivery of spoken word poets as the classical lyrical emcee cadence. If you dig Can ox, Gil Scott Heron, Kool Keith or artists that challenge you to think over driven beats then this is for you. I cannot stop listening to this, it has the kind of raw texture that just seems to stick with me like early hiphop I grew up on. I should have known blockhead(he did woods 2013 project too) was behind the boards on this jawn the production is so perfect for the way Woods delivers. If you did not cop this in 2017 do it now….
