De La Soul is one of the groups that inspire me after all these years because they have never tried to play to a crowd that didn’t care for them. They pretty much stay in their land and innovate because of who they are. I wish many other vets could take a page from the 3 Plugs. On this joint they come across as self reflective with a song about the struggles of black people in America from a nuanced yet frank angle. Chuck D joins De la on this jawn to a perfect effect….This is a great uplift as the year ends….ENJOY! This is for the people Ya’ll
