Freddie Gibbs “Rollin”

Freddie Gibbs does the kind of “gangsta rap” bka “street culture hip-hop” that you can get into if you are a fan of the art of emceeing like myself. On Rollin he brought in Devin the dude i.e. one of the most underrated cats who ever picked up a mic to cover the hook. I think Devin is so laid back and chill that cats forget what he can do plus he kills those chill vibe hooks like no other. Which again makes the casual listener forget that he is a beast in his on right but I digress…..Back to my thoughts on this track. Gibbs mercs the track as usual. Good dynamic wordplay and cadance with his familiar everyday street hustler subject matter. Killa Kyleon, starlito and propain handle there business on this joint also. The track provided by trakksound is the perfect sound bed for this laid back groove. Enjoy
