In cased you missed it Maimouna Youssef aka MuMU Fresh is a dope “grammy Nominated” artist who worked with the lessondary roots crew on the jawn “something ain’t right”. She has since been indie and showing her chops on a series of releases this being the most recent, hitting the digital waves about 3 months ago “the reintroduction of mumu fresh” is a thoughtful reworking of many pop standards from the likes of pharrell, Jay-Z, Drake, Rihanna and Beyounce. The one track that really sticks with me is the reworking of Lords’ “Royal” into the beautiful conscious tune “we are already royal”. What MAimouna Youseff constantly proves is the fact that you can be both thoughtful and rock.
